The workshop will offer the interested community the opportunity to participate in the creation of a collective sculpture. It will consist of a two-days workshop (for two Fridays) in which participants are invited to take part practically in the preparation of the sculpture, finding, selecting and activating specific materials according to what are the “alchemical principles of transformation of matter.” Concretely, participants will be invited to select and collect a wood found on the banks near the Danube river, and then work it on the gallery premises and “activate” it. The goal is to recreate the collective experience of “ritual” and bring it into the gallery space.
